Road Mtb
The conversion of Mountain Bike tires road bike or hybrid tires?

Hello, I bought a used Trek 3700 MTB (condition decent) a few months ago and added a tire coating both front and back, due to frequent flats I have. Since then, my bike feels much riding heavier although no longer get flats since then. Will it make any difference whether the changes with road Bike Tires, or hybrid? Will it make up in any light or faster? If so, what kind of tires can handle flats caused by thorns of the trees fell road without having to add the shirts? Most of my trip is only the floor at some point I find the thorns: (Thank you PS So far, the tires are 26x 2.0 Bontrager.

You can get slick tires that fit your Mtb Tires. The most popular size for this purpose is 26×1.5. Sure that you get tires with a maximum working pressure at least 80 psi. I once bought a MTB 26×1.5 tires was going to ride on the road. They had a maximum pressure of 60 PSI and did not like the way they rode thorns are a problem. In my experience, some more robust tire, such as specialized Nimbus Armadillo, can help. However, the tires are expensive. HTH
