I am debating about the pros of stem cell research. one of my claims is “it gains important scientific knowledge”. Can anyone help me add an impact with this claim?

Adult stem cell research yes, they have been very successful, but embryo stem cells have never produced anything and companys like planned parenthood are making a billion dollars a year off of them. There is something wrong here.
