What’s your favorite mountain bike tire?
I have decided to keep an IRC trailbear 2.5 up front and have it narrowed down to a few choices for the rear.I plan to go smaller and stay in the 2.25-2.35 range for the rear. I have had Kenda Nevegal 2.35′s in the past, but thinking I could get something with the same great gripping, but lighter and faster for the rear. Interested in hearing from fellow bikers regarding their favorite tires. I will be riding over roots wet and dry, loose and packed sand and will be climbing some moderate rocky slopes in FL. thanks in advance
Did you really just refer to Nevagrips as “great gripping”?? That’s honestly the first time I’ve heard anyone say that…

…For your riding terrain in FL, I’d highly recommend a 3C Ardent. In fact, they’re great front and rear…. good rolling resistance, fairly lightweight for such a high volume tire, awesome traction! I’m actually running Ardents front and rear on all my bikes at the moment, absolutley outstanding tire.
