How to repaint a road Bike Frame?
Tips for stripping/sanding it and then painting. Where to get old decals for vintage bikes. Is it really hard to repaint a bike?
No, it’s not really hard to do, but you’ll have to take your time and get the frame prepped.
Easiest solution would be to have a motorcycle painter or someone with the capabilities have is bead-blasted. Then paint or powdercoat. Powdercoat is a much more durable finish but it is thicker so if you want to show off details like lugs you’ll want to stick with getting it painted.

If you are confident in your abilities, go ahead and paint it yourself. Lots have done the old spray can routine but airbrushing yeilds much better results. Pay attention to any vent/weepholes that you don’t occlude them (unless you really want to).
Count on primer + at least 2 coats + 2 clear coats, and of course more depending on how high of quality and how much time you ware willing to invest.
