my Mountain Bicycle keeps making a “clunk” sound when i am cycling?

its as if though i am changing gear when i am cycling although I have not changed gear.
the way it feels is like a jerking on the pedals and it sounds like a clunk / or as if though my chain is hitting of something
Its on every gear so i don’t think it will be a bend sporict or cog or whatever u call them part . thanks again

The simplest answer is that your indexing needs to be adjusted. However, this is something that happens gradually as things go out of adjustment. If the problem happened suddenly, look to see if something is bent, perhaps your bike fell over and knocked your derailleur out of adjustment. If this is the case, something may be bent and will need to be realigned
