how do i revive these brakes of noise and declining performance?
Make sure the rotors are true and flat.
Replace the pads if they’re worn.
Center the caliper over the rotor properly.
Clean the rotor and pads with alcohol. Even car exhaust and airborne oils that you can’t see can really foul the braking surfaces….cleaning from time to time is important.
Burn in the rotors/pads again by putting 5-10 hard, fast stops on each brake separately. Do this on a large hill or parking garage ramp….a helper that can shuttle you to the top each time makes it a lot easier. If you’re sure that your pads and rotor are clean and in good shape, then you might just try burning them in first. Most people never do this and consequently never fully realize the power that their brakes have.
